Promotion, Stipend, and Probation Highlights at MPPGCL

An exceptional feature of the MPPGCL recruitment policy is the well-defined structure for training, probation, and financial benefits for all newly appointed candidates. Upon successful selection, trainees for Second Class posts (like Assistant Engineer and Chemist) undergo a training period—typically 1 year—during which they receive a monthly stipend equivalent to the minimum of their pay scale. For Third and Fourth Class posts (such as Junior Engineer, Plant Assistant), the training period ranges from 3 to 12 months with a stipend based on a percentage of the minimum basic pay: 70% in the first year, 80% in the second, and 90% in the third year (where applicable). Only after successfully passing the training and subsequent probation do candidates become eligible for full salary, allowances, and regularization.

Key Points:

  • Training and probation are mandatory before permanent appointment.

  • Increment during the probation/training phase is not granted; it starts after confirmation.

  • Upon joining, each candidate must sign a service bond, committing to serve the company for a minimum period after training—applicable for both general and reserved category candidates.

  • These provisions not only ensure skill development and proper assessment but also safeguard opportunities for career growth and stability within the Madhya Pradesh Power Generating Company Limited.
