Examination Schedule and Details
The Staff Selection Commission will hold the Multi-Tasking (Non-Technical) Staff and Havaldar (CBIC & CBN) Examination, 2025. Online application dates are from 26-06-2025 to 24-07-2025. Last date for fee payment is 25-07-2025. The Computer Based Examination is scheduled from 20 September to 24 October 2025.
The posts fall under Group 'C' Non-Gazetted, Non-Ministerial service in various Ministries/Departments of Government of India and CBIC/CBN under Department of Revenue, Ministry of Finance. Reservation as per government norms is applicable.
Qualification required is matriculation or equivalent. Age limits vary from 18-25 years for MTS and 18-27 years for Havaldar, with relaxations applicable for reserved categories.
Examination will consist of two sessions with objective MCQs. Havaldar exam includes Physical Efficiency Tests and Physical Standard Tests.

Application fee is Rs. 100 for General and OBC categories. Women, SC, ST, PwBD, and Ex-servicemen candidates eligible for reservation are exempted from payment of fee. Fee payment to be made through online methods.
Age Limit and Relaxation Details
Age limit as on 01-08-2025: 18-25 years for MTS; 18-27 years for Havaldar (CBIC & CBN) post. Age relaxation as per Government of India orders: 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC, 10-15 years for PwBD depending on category, and 3 years for Ex-servicemen after deduction of military service. Additional relaxations apply for Govt. employees and widows/divorced women.
How to Apply and Important Instructions
Applications must be submitted online at https://ssc.gov.in or through the mySSC mobile app. One-Time Registration (OTR) is mandatory. Details like photograph and signature are to be uploaded during application. Aadhaar based authentication is optional but recommended.
Applicants must ensure eligibility criteria are met prior to applying. Only one application allowed during normal submission period. Application correction window is open from 29-07-2025 to 31-07-2025 with applicable correction charges.
Reservation and Certification
Reservation is provided for SC, ST, OBC, EWS, Ex-servicemen, and PwBD as per government orders. Candidates must submit appropriate certificates during document verification. Claims without valid certificates will result in cancellation of candidature.

Exam Centers
Examination centers are spread across India in various regions: Central, Eastern, Karnataka-Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, North Eastern, Northern, North Western, Southern, Western Regions. Candidates can choose three centers in order of preference. Commission reserves the right to modify centers.
Scheme of Examination
For MTS: Computer Based Examination with two sessions on same day. Session-I includes Numerical and Mathematical Ability, Reasoning; Session-II includes General Awareness, English Language. No negative marking in Session-I, negative marking of one mark per wrong answer in Session-II.
For Havaldar: CBE + Physical Efficiency Test (PET)/Physical Standard Test (PST). Physical standards and PET norms are prescribed.
Selection Process and Final Allocation
Selection based on performance in Computer Based Examination and PET/PST (for Havaldar). Candidate preferences for post cum states/UTs/CCA will be considered. Separate cut-offs and merit lists based on category and age groups will be maintained.
Selected candidates may be required to acquire proficiency in local language of allotted area.
Disqualification and Malpractice Actions
Strict action including cancellation, debarment and legal proceedings will be taken against candidates involved in malpractices. Detailed list of malpractices and corresponding debarment periods are specified in the notification.
