Engagement of Act Apprentices for Training Slots in Eastern Railway

Applications invited for training slots in various divisions and workshops of Eastern Railway as Act Apprentices under Apprentices Act, 1961. Total provisional vacancies: 2294. Candidate must apply online via official portal only.

Selection Process: Merit based on average of Matriculation and ITI marks with equal weightage. Age relaxations applicable as per category.

Application fee: Rs.100/- for General and OBC; No fee for SC/ST/PwBD/Female.

Medical fitness is mandatory and must be certified by Government authorized doctor.

Age Limits are strictly enforced with following relaxations:

• General: 15 to 24 years
• SC/ST: Relaxation by 5 years
• OBC-NCL: Relaxation by 3 years
• Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD): Relaxation by 10 years
• Ex-Servicemen: Relaxation up to 10 years plus 3 years if minimum 6 months service completed

No age relaxation is allowed for candidates applying against Unreserved slots.

Application fee is Rs.100/- for General and OBC candidates only.

SC/ST, PwBD, Females and Ex-Servicemen are exempted from fee payment.

Fee is non-refundable and should be paid via online Payment Gateway only.

Reservation follows Government norms with specific quotas for SC, ST, OBC, EWS, PwBD and Ex-Servicemen.

Seats for PwBD and Ex-Servicemen are included within the overall training slots.

Candidates applying under specific reserved categories must produce valid certificates at document verification.

Candidates must fulfill the medical standards prescribed under Apprentices Act, 1961 and Apprenticeship Rules, 1992.

Medical certificate signed by a Government authorized doctor (Gazetted) is mandatory.

Candidates suffering from contagious diseases or severe deformities are not eligible.
