About the Application Form
The online application for SSC GD Constable Recruitment 2026 starts on December 1, 2025 and ends on December 31, 2025 (11:00 PM). Candidates must register via the official SSC portal, complete the one-time registration, fill personal and educational details (10th pass mandatory), upload photograph and signature, and pay the application fee online if applicable. Selection Process Overview
- Stage 1: Computer-Based Test (CBT) held between February and April 2026; 100 questions covering General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Knowledge & Awareness, Elementary Mathematics, English/Hindi.
- Stage 2: Physical Standard Test (PST) measuring height, chest (male) and weight as per category.
- Stage 3: Physical Efficiency Test (PET) - 5 km run in 24 minutes for males; 1.6 km in 8.5 minutes for females; adjusted timings for Ladakh region candidates.
- Stage 4: Medical Examination for fitness assurance.
- Stage 5: Document Verification including educational certificates and age proof.
- Final merit list prepared based on performance in all stages.

Pay Scale and Benefits
The pay scale for SSC GD Constable posts ranges from Rs. 21,700 to Rs. 69,100 per month.
