Additional Information
- Application fee for all categories including General, OBC, SC, ST, EWS, Female and PWD is ₹100. Additional biometric fee of ₹200 applies if Aadhaar is not linked. Payment can be made via Debit Card, Credit Card, Internet Banking, IMPS, or Mobile Wallet.
- Age as on 01 August 2025: Minimum 21 years; Maximum age is 37 years for General Male, 40 years for Female UR, BC/EBC Male & Female, and 42 years for SC/ST Male & Female. Additional relaxation: 5 years for regular Bihar Govt employees; up to 3 years plus service period for Ex-Servicemen (max age 57).

Eligibility Criteria / पात्रता
Candidates must have Bachelor's Degree from recognized university in Botany, Chemistry, Forestry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Zoology, Agriculture, or Engineering.
Age Limit as on 01.08.2025:
- General Male: 21–37 years
- Female UR, BC/EBC Male & Female: up to 40 years
- SC/ST Male & Female: up to 42 years
- Additional relaxation: 5 years for regular Bihar Govt employees; up to 3 years plus service period for Ex-Servicemen (max age 57)
Reservation & Relaxation Details / आरक्षण
Category-wise reservation:
- Unreserved (UR): 3 posts (includes 1 woman)
- EWS: 1 post
- SC: 2 posts (including 1 backlog)
- EBC: 4 posts
- BC: 1 post (backlog)
- BC Women: 1 post
- 35% horizontal reservation for women for Bihar domicile candidates
PwBD / Ex-servicemen / Female specific relaxations as per norms.

Selection Process / चयन प्रक्रिया
The selection process includes:
- Written Examination
- Physical Test (Walking/Height/Chest)
- Personal Interview
Exam Pattern & Syllabus / परीक्षा पैटर्न और पाठ्यक्रम
Compulsory Papers:
- General Hindi (Qualifying, 50 marks, minimum qualifying marks 20)
- General English (Qualifying, 50 marks, minimum qualifying marks 20)
- General Knowledge (Objective, 100 marks)
- General Science & Environment (Objective, 50 marks)
Optional Subject: Choose one with two papers (each 150 marks, total 300 marks) from Forestry, Agriculture, Botany, Zoology, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics etc.
Physical Standards:
- Height: Male 163 cm (Gen/BC/EBC), 152.5 cm (SC/ST); Female 150 cm (Gen/BC/EBC), 145 cm (SC/ST)
- Chest (Male): 79 cm + 5 cm expansion
- Walking Test: Male - 25 km in 4 hours; Female - 14 km in 4 hours
Interview: 50 marks
