The candidate must have passed 10+2 (Intermediate) or equivalent qualification such as Maulvi certificate, 2-year ITI (NCVT/SCVT), or 3-year Polytechnic Diploma. Additionally, proficiency in Hindi and English stenography and basic computer typing/word processing skills are mandatory.

Minimum age is 21 years. Maximum age limits vary as below (as on 01 Aug 2025):

• UR Male: 37 years
• UR Female / BC / EBC: 40 years
• SC / ST (both genders): 42 years

Age relaxations apply as per Bihar Government and BPSC rules, including for PwD (approx. +10 years) and females (horizontal 35% reservation).

Application fee is ₹100 for all candidates regardless of category.

Payment methods include Debit Card, Credit Card, Internet Banking, IMPS, Cash Card, and Mobile Wallet.

Note: Biometric fee of ₹200 extra applicable if Aadhaar is not used during application.

The selection will be through a written examination followed by a skill test evaluating stenography and typing skills in Hindi and English.

Admit cards will be available before the exam; candidates must download them and carry to exam center along with valid photo ID proofs.
