- <p style='color:#000000;font-size:14px;'>General / OBC / EWS candidates need to pay Rs. 100/- as application fee. SC / ST / PwBD / Female / Transgender / Ex-servicemen candidates are exempted from payment of application fee. Payment to be done via Credit Card, Debit Card, Net Banking or offline e-Challan submit at nearest Head Post Office / GPO.</p>

How to Apply for India Post GDS 2026
- Visit the official website indiapostgdsonline.gov.in.
- Click on the “GDS Recruitment 2026” or “Apply Online” link on the homepage.
- Complete Registration (Stage 1) by providing basic details like name, mobile, email to generate login credentials.
- Login and fill the detailed application form (Stage 2): select posts/circle, upload documents, and pay the fee (if applicable).
- Upload required documents: Photo and Signature (50 KB max, JPG/JPEG), Class 10th marks memo/certificate, DOB proof (if not on SSC certificate), community certificate (if applicable), disability certificate (if applicable).
- Submit the application form, download the confirmation page, and keep a printout for future reference.
Important: Apply before 14 February 2026 to avoid last minute issues.
Application Fee Details and Payment
Application fee is Rs. 100 for General, OBC, and EWS candidates. SC, ST, PwBD, Female, and Ex-servicemen candidates are exempt from fee. Fee payment modes include Credit Card, Debit Card, Net Banking, and offline E-Challan payment at nearest Head Post Office / GPO.
Ensure fee is paid by 16 February 2026. Late fee submission will not be accepted.
Age Limit and Relaxation

Selection Process and Important Guidelines
Selection is purely merit-based on Class 10th marks percentage. No written exam or interview will be held. Merit list will be prepared state-wise and posts will be allotted accordingly. Document verification is mandatory post selection.

Salary Details
Salary for India Post GDS posts is:
- BPM: Rs. 12,000 – Rs. 29,380 per month
- ABPM / Dak Sevak: Rs. 10,000 – Rs. 24,470 per month

No written exam is conducted for GDS selection. Merit list will be published online. Document verification dates will be notified later. Candidates must keep visiting the official website for updates.
Post Exam Procedures - Result, Merit List and Joining
The merit list will be prepared based on Class 10 marks and published on the official website. Selected candidates will be called for document verification. After verification, joining instructions will be provided by respective postal circles.
