How to Apply for BSNL Senior Executive Trainee (SET) 2026
Interested candidates can apply online between 05 February 2026 and 07 March 2026. Applications must be submitted through the official BSNL website: https://bsnl.co.in/en. The application fee can be paid via Debit Card, Credit Card, Internet Banking, IMPS, or Mobile Wallets. Fee payment last date is 07 March 2026.
Note: Candidates should carefully read the official notification before filling the form to avoid mistakes related to age, qualification and last date.
Educational Qualifications and Eligibility
Eligibility Criteria
- For Telecom Stream: Candidates should have a BE/BTech degree in Electronics & Telecommunication, Electronics, Computer Science, IT, Electrical, or Instrumentation Engineering with at least 60% marks.
- For Finance Stream: Candidates must be Chartered Accountant (CA) or Cost and Management Accountant (CMA).
- Age Limit: 21 to 30 years as on 07 March 2026, with age relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC-NCL, and up to 10 years for PwBD candidates (15 years for SC/ST PwBD).

Application Fee Details
General/OBC/EWS candidates must pay ₹2500, while SC/ST/PwBD candidates pay ₹1250. Payment can be made online via Debit Card, Credit Card, Internet Banking, IMPS, or Mobile Wallets only.
Selection Procedure and Exam Pattern
Selection Process
The selection will be based on a Computer Based Test consisting of two parts: Aptitude (40 marks) and Technical (160 marks). The exam duration is 3 hours with negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer. Candidates must secure 50% overall (40% in each part) for general category, with relaxed criteria for reserved categories. Post exam, document verification and medical examination will be conducted.

- Aptitude: General English, Reasoning, Numerical Ability, General Awareness.
- Technical: Core subjects according to respective streams (Telecom: Electronics/Telecom/CS/IT/Electrical/Instrumentation; Finance: CA/CMA relevant topics).

- Ensure all documents are uploaded as per specified guidelines.

- Correction window available from 08 March to 15 March 2026.
- Admit card will be available before the exam date on official website.
Post Exam Process and Other Information
Post Exam Process
After CBT, candidates clearing the cutoffs will undergo document verification and medical examination. The final merit list will be published on the official BSNL website. Selected candidates must serve a 2-year probation period including 52 weeks of training and a service bond of Rs. 9 Lakh for 5 years.
