Additional Information
- Application fee for General, OBC, EWS is Rs 200. SC/ST, PwBD and Female candidates are exempted from fee. Payment modes include Net Banking, Credit/Debit Cards, UPI.
- Age as on 01 August 2026 must be between 21 and 30 years. SC/ST get 5 years relaxation, OBC 3 years, PwBD 10 years. Female candidates receive application fee exemption but no age relaxation.

UPSC IES/ISS Recruitment 2026 - आवेदन कैसे करें
Step 1: Visit the official UPSC online application portal at https://upsconline.nic.in/.
Step 2: Register/Login to your account using a valid email ID and phone number.
Step 3: Fill the Indian Economic Service or Indian Statistical Service examination form carefully. Verify all details before submission.
Step 4: Upload required documents including educational certificates and photograph & signature as per specifications (ImageResizer for resizing images as per UPSC norms).
Step 5: Pay the application fee (if applicable). Payment modes include Net Banking, Credit/Debit Cards, UPI, etc.
Step 6: Submit the application and take a printout of the confirmation page for future reference.
प्रवेश पत्र (Admit Card) और परीक्षा जानकारी
Admit card will be released approximately one week before the exam date. Candidates must download their e-Admit cards from the official UPSC website.
Important: Carry a valid photo ID proof along with the admit card to the exam center.
Exam dates: 19th to 21st June 2026.
चयन प्रक्रिया और परीक्षा पैटर्न (Selection Process & Exam Pattern)
The selection consists of two stages:
- Written Examination - IES papers are descriptive; ISS Statistics papers are objective and other papers descriptive, total 1000 marks.
- Personality Test/Interview - 200 marks.
Document verification and medical examination are conducted post selection.
आयु सीमा और छूट नियम (Age Limit & Relaxation)
Age limit is 21 to 30 years as on 1 August 2026. Age relaxation applies as:
- SC/ST - 5 years
- OBC - 3 years
- PwBD - 10 years
Note: Female candidates and PwBD candidates are exempted from application fee.
महत्वपूर्ण निर्देश (Important Instructions & Guidelines)
- Ensure all educational qualifications are as per notification before applying.
- Upload recent photograph and signature in prescribed dimensions. Use ImageResizer tool if needed.
- Verify all details carefully; corrections allowed 5-11 March 2026.
- Keep a copy of application and fee receipt after submission.
- Use the official UPSC website for any updates.
प्रारंभिक आवेदन सुधार एवं स्थिति जांच (Correction & Status Check)
Applicants can make corrections in application from 5th to 11th March 2026 via UPSC official website.
Application status can also be checked online by logging into your UPSC account.
परिणाम, मेरिट सूची और नियुक्ति प्रक्रिया (Result & Joining)
Results will be declared on the official UPSC website when available.
Merit list will be prepared based on written exam and interview marks.
Selected candidates will undergo document verification, medical examination and joining formalities.
