Exam Pattern:

  • Prelims: Objective exam with General Studies (100 questions) and Law (150 questions), total 2.5 hours.
  • Mains: Subjective papers - Compulsory Hindi, English, GK, Science, Evidence/Procedure plus 3 electives including new syllabus topics.
  • Interview: 100 marks with minimum qualifying 35% marks.

Eligibility Criteria & Age Relaxation

Candidate must have a Bachelor of Law (LLB) degree from a university recognized by the Bar Council of India and minimum 3 years legal practice as advocate as on 23 February 2026.

Age should be between 22 to 35 years as on 01 August 2025. Relaxations apply as:

  • OBC: +3 years (up to 38 years)
  • SC/ST/Female/PwBD: +5 years (up to 40 years)

Selection Process & Salary Details

The selection consists of three stages: Preliminary, Mains, and Interview.

Prelims is an objective exam with 250 marks. Mains consists of compulsory and elective papers covering law and related subjects. Interview qualifying marks are 35%.

Salary is approximately Level-10 pay scale (₹77,840 basic pay) plus applicable allowances as per government rules.
