Additional Information
- General and OBC candidates need to pay ₹200. SC/ST, PWD, and all female candidates are exempted from the fee. Payment modes include Debit Card, Credit Card, Internet Banking, IMPS, Cash Card / Mobile Wallet.
- Maximum age is 32 years for general posts, 35 years for CHS posts. Age relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC, 10 years for PwBD, 5 years for Ex-servicemen, and 3 years for Defence disabled. J&K domicile candidates (1980-89) get 5 years relaxation.

How to Apply
Candidates are advised to apply online through the official UPSC online portal Click Here before the deadline 31 March 2026 (6 PM).
Steps to apply:
- Visit UPSC official website or direct online application link.
- Register with valid email-id and mobile number.
- Fill all personal, educational, and contact details accurately.
- Upload required documents and scanned images as per specifications.
- Pay the application fee as applicable via online modes.
- Take a printout of the submitted application form for future reference.

Documents Required and Upload Specifications
Required Documents
- MBBS Degree certificate or proof for final year candidates.
- Age proof document (Birth Certificate, 10th Marksheet).
- Category certificate (SC/ST/OBC/EWS), if applicable.
- Disability certificate for PwBD candidates.
- Latest passport size photograph and signature scanned in JPG/JPEG/PNG format.
Image Upload Guidelines
Ensure images conform to specifications:
Photo Size: 100 KB max, format JPG/JPEG/PNG.
Signature Size: 50 KB max, format JPG/JPEG/PNG.
Use ImageResizer tool for resizing images if needed.
Application Fee and Payment Methods
The application fee for General and OBC category candidates is ₹200. SC, ST, PwBD candidates, and all female applicants are exempted from the fee.
Online payment modes accepted include Debit Card, Credit Card, Internet Banking, IMPS, and Mobile Wallets.
Make sure to complete the fee payment before or on 31 March 2026 to avoid application rejection.
Age Limit and Relaxation Details
The maximum age limit for UPSC CMS is 32 years as on 01 August 2026. For Central Health Service posts, the upper age limit is 35 years.
Age relaxation as per UPSC norms: 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC, 10 years for PwBD, 5 years for Ex-servicemen, 3 years for Defence-disabled, and 5 years for J&K domicile candidates born between 1980–89.
Selection Procedure and Exam Pattern
Selection Process
The selection consists of a Computer-Based Preliminary Examination followed by a Personality Test (Interview).
Stages:
- Preliminary Examination (Objective type)
- Main Examination
- Interview / Personality Test
Candidates must qualify each stage to proceed to the next.
Admit Card and Result Information
Admit cards are expected to be available from July 2026. Candidates should download admit cards from the UPSC official website using their registration credentials.
Results and merit list will be published on the official UPSC site upon completion of the recruitment process.
