Additional Information
- Fees are payable online via Debit Card, Credit Card, Internet Banking, IMPS, Cash Card or Mobile Wallet. Fee for General/EWS/OBC is ₹1000, for SC/ST ₹500, for PH candidates ₹300.
- Age relaxations: OBC 3-5 years, SC/ST 5 years, PwD 10-15 years, Ex-Servicemen - service years plus 3 years. Upper age limits vary accordingly.

The Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test 2026 notification is released by UPESSC. Interested candidates can apply online starting from 27 March 2026 till 26 April 2026 via UPESSC official website or UPDELED portal.

- Register with a valid mobile number and email ID, verify via OTP.
- Fill in personal, educational, and preference details carefully.

Examination Pattern and Syllabus Overview
Exam Pattern
UPTET 2026 is conducted offline using OMR sheets with two papers:
Paper 1: For Primary level (Class 1-5)
Paper 2: For Upper Primary level (Class 6-8)
Each paper contains 150 multiple-choice questions (MCQs), with a time duration of 150 minutes. There is no negative marking.

Age Limit and Relaxation
Age Criteria
The minimum age is 18 years and the general maximum age is 35 years. UP government provides relaxation as per category norms:
- OBC: 3-5 years relaxation
- SC/ST: 5 years relaxation
- Persons with Disabilities (PWD): 10-15 years relaxation
- Ex-Servicemen: Service years plus 3 years relaxation

Exam Schedule and Reporting
The exam is conducted over three days in two shifts daily:
Morning Shift: 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM (Paper 1)
Afternoon Shift: 2:30 PM to 5:00 PM (Paper 2)
Candidates must report at least 60 minutes before examination for biometric verification. Electronic gadgets, calculators, study materials, and opaque pouches are strictly prohibited. Any malpractice will lead to lifetime ban by UPESSC.

Result Timeline
Provisional answer keys will be released in mid-July 2026, with a period for objections. Final results are expected in September 2026. Certificates will be distributed during October-November via digital lockers or regional offices.
