Additional Information
- Application fee is Rs. 100 for General, OBC and EWS male candidates. SC, ST, PwBD, ex-servicemen and all female candidates are exempted. Fee payment deadline is 2026-05-16.
- Grade C age limit is 18 to 30 years and Grade D age limit is 18 to 27 years. Standard age relaxations apply as per SSC rules. The notification states age will be calculated with reference to 2026-08-01.

Selection Process and Exam Pattern
Selection is generally based on two stages:
- Computer Based Examination (CBT) with sections on General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Awareness, and English Language & Comprehension.
- Skill Test in Stenography for candidates who qualify CBT.
Exam pattern: 200 questions, 200 marks, duration 2 hours, and negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.
- Grade C shorthand speed: 100 words per minute
- Grade D shorthand speed: 80 words per minute
