How to Apply
The Indian Navy 10+2 (B.Tech) Cadet Entry Scheme application opens 29 May 2026 and closes 18 June 2026. Apply online only through the official Indian Navy portal.
Important: Candidates must have their JEE Main 2026 Application Number and All India Common Rank List (CRL) scorecard handy before filling the form. Mismatched or incorrect details will lead to automatic rejection.
Documents to Upload
- Scanned Date of Birth proof (10th Certificate) in JPG or TIFF format
- Scanned Class 12th Marksheet (10+2) in JPG or TIFF format
- JEE Main 2026 Scorecard in scanned format
- Recent passport-sized photograph

Eligibility & Age Criteria
Candidates must have passed Senior Secondary Examination (10+2) with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics with a minimum of 70% aggregate marks. The English language score should be at least 50% in Class 10 or Class 12.
Age limit is strict: Candidates must be born between 2 July 2007 and 1 January 2010. No age relaxation is applicable.
Selection Process
- Shortlisting based on JEE Main 2026 Common Rank List (CRL).
- Qualified candidates will be called for a 5-day Service Selection Board (SSB) interview at centers in Bengaluru, Bhopal, Kolkata, or Visakhapatnam.
- Successful candidates will undergo a detailed medical examination.
- Final merit list is prepared based on SSB scores, vacancies, and medical fitness.
Training and Salary Benefits
Selected cadets get four years of free engineering education at the Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala, with the B.Tech degree awarded by Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU).
During training, a monthly stipend of ₹56,100 is paid, which increases to approximately ₹1,00,000+ on commissioning as Sub-Lieutenant. This includes Military Service Pay, Dearness Allowance, and technical allowances.
Exam and Interview Centers
The SSB interview centers are located in Bengaluru, Bhopal, Kolkata, and Visakhapatnam. Candidates must attend the assigned center as per call letter instructions.
Important Guidelines to Avoid Rejection
- Ensure all uploaded documents are clear and in prescribed format JPG or TIFF.
- Verify that the JEE Main application number and CRL rank entered exactly match the official scorecard.
- Application incomplete or incorrect information will be summarily rejected without notice.
- Multiple applications for the same candidate will lead to cancellation.
- Keep scanned photograph recent and clear, conforming to size and dimension instructions given in the official notification.
After Application: Admit Card and Result
Shortlisted candidates will be called for SSB interview. Admit cards for SSB will be available online on the official website closer to the interview dates. Results and merit lists will also be published on the official portal post-interview.
