Selection Procedure and Exam Pattern Of : UPSC Combined Medical Services CMS Exam 2025
Selection Procedure consists of following stages :-
1.Written Examination
2.Personality Test /Interview
3.Medical Examination
4.Appointment
1.Written Examination: (500 marks)
No. Of Papers : 2 Papers
Marks for each papers : 250 Marks
Paper I (Code No. 1) : (General Medicine and Paediatrics )
Total questions in Paper I = 120 (96 from General Medicine and 24 from Paediatrics ) .
Paper II Maximum (Code No. 2) : (a) Surgery (b) Gynaecology & Obstetrics (c) Preventive & Social Medicine
Total questions in Paper II = 120 (40 questions from each part.)
Negative Marking : one third of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as penalty For objective type question papers.
2.Personality Test /Interview : (100 marks):
Total Score : 600 Marks
