Selection Process for CSIR IITR Junior Secretariat Assistant Recruitment 2025

Stages of Selection:

  • 1. Written Examination
  • 2. Typing Test (Proficiency in Computer)
  • 3. Merit List Preparation

The selection process consists of a written competitive examination followed by a computer typing proficiency test. Candidates will be selected based on merit in Paper-II, and typing speed proficiency will be qualifying in nature.

1. Written Examination

The written competitive examination consists of two papers – **Paper-I (Qualifying in nature)** and **Paper-II (Merit-based evaluation)**.

2. Typing Test (Proficiency Test in Computer)

Candidates must qualify for the computer typing speed test to be considered for the merit list.

Typing Speed Requirement 35 words per minute (w.p.m.) in English OR 30 words per minute (w.p.m.) in Hindi
Key Depressions Per Hour (KDPH) 10500 KDPH (English) / 9000 KDPH (Hindi), based on an average of 5 key depressions per word

3. Merit List Preparation

The final merit list will be prepared based on marks obtained in Paper-II . The computer typing test is only qualifying in nature .
