SBI PO Vacancy 2025

State Bank Of India (SBI) has released a official notification for recruitment to the Post of Probationary Officers (PO) . Total alloted seats under this vacancy is 600.

Selection Procedure consists of  following steps:-

1.Preliminary Examination

2.Main Examination

3.Psychometric Test

4.Group Exercise and Interview

5.Document Verification

6.Final Selection & Appointment

 

1.Preliminary Examination (Phase I) :-

Question Type :- Objective Test (Online)

Total Score :- 100 Marks

 

The test will have of 3 Sections (with separate timings for each section) as follows:

Selection criteria for Main Examination: Category wise merit list will be drawn on the basis of the aggregate marks scored in the Preliminary Examination. There will be no sectional cut-off in preliminary examination. 

 

2.Main Examination (Phase II): Question Type :- Objective Tests (Online)

Total Score :- 200 Marks

Descriptive Test Score - 50 marks

The Descriptive Test will be administered immediately after conclusion of the Objective Test and candidates will have to type their Descriptive Test answers on the computer

 

 

 Each candidate will have to score a minimum score in each test (i.e. Test I, II, III, IV & Descriptive paper individually) in Main Examination.

Category wise merit list will be drawn on the basis of the aggregate marks scored in Phase-II (Main Exam).

Negative Marking ( Preliminary and Main Examination) : 1/4th of marks assigned to that question will be deducted as penalty 

 

3.Psychometric Test ,Group Exercise and Interview (Phase III) :-  The Bank will conduct Psychometric test for personality profiling, of those candidates who will be shortlisted for Phase-III. Findings of the test may be placed before the Interview panel for having a thorough perspective on the candidates.

 

The minimum qualifying marks will be as decided by the Bank.

FINAL SELECTION: The candidates will have to qualify both in Phase-II and Phase-III separately. The marks obtained in Main Examination (Phase-II), both in the Objective Test and the Descriptive Test, will be added to the marks obtained in Phase-III for preparing the final merit list.

The marks obtained in the Preliminary Examination (Phase-I) will not be added for preparing the final merit list for selection.

The marks obtained by the candidates in Phase-II (Main Examination both Objective & Descriptive Tests) and Phase-III (Group Exercise & Interview) will be normalized to 100 marks as detailed below.

The final merit list is arrived at after aggregating (out of 100) converted marks of Phase-II and Phase-III. Selection will be made from the top merit ranked candidates in each category.

 1.Candidates are first required to go to the  Bank's website https://bank.sbi/web/careers/current-openings and open the Online Application Form, available under 'Current Openings’.

2.To register application, choose the tab "Click here for New Registration" and enter Name, Contact details and Email-id.

 

NOTE : Candidates are required to take a printout of the e-Receipt and online Application Form containing fee details.

Dimensions: 240 x 240 pixels in 200 DPI & 3 cm * 3 cm (Width * Height) .

The applicant has to put his left thumb impression on a white paper with black or blue ink.

 

Hand-written declaration Image:

File Size: 50 KB – 100 KB

Dimensions: 800 x 400 pixels in 200 DPI & 10 cm * 5 cm (Width * Height)

Note: The hand written declaration has to be in the candidate’s hand writing and in English only on a white paper with black or blue ink.. The text should NOT BE IN CAPITAL LETTERS.

 

If it is written by anybody else and uploaded or in any other language, the application will be considered as invalid.

 

The text for the hand written declaration is as follows –

EMOLUMENTS:

Basic Pay :  ₹ 48,480/- (Plus 4 advance increments) .

 

Pay Scale : 48480-2000/7-62480-2340/2-67160-2680/7-85920

 

Allowances : DA, HRA, CCA, PF, Contributory Pension Fund i.e., NPS, LFC, Medical Facility, Lease rental facility etc. and other allowances & perquisites as per rules in force from time to time.

 

CTC : At Mumbai Centre Approx 18.67 Lacs.

 

CIBIL: Candidates who have defaulted in repayment under any lending arrangement with Banks / NBFCs/ Financial Institutions including credit card dues and have not regularized / repaid their outstanding thereunder till the date of issuance of letter of offer of appointment by the Bank, shall not be eligible for appointment to the post.
