About TES 10+12
The Indian Army TES (Technical Entry Scheme) 10+2 is a special program for students who have completed their 12th grade, especially those with a focus on science and mathematics. Through this scheme, selected candidates can join the Indian Army as officers in technical fields.
To apply, students need to meet certain eligibility criteria and pass an entrance exam and an interview. Once selected, they undergo training at a military academy, where they learn leadership skills and technical knowledge related to engineering and technology.
This program is a great opportunity for young individuals who wish to serve their country while pursuing a career in the armed forces, combining patriotism with technical expertise.
NOTE : Candidate should be male UNMARRIED.
Role of TES (During Job)
The main work of candidates selected through the Indian Army's TES 10+2 scheme primarily revolves around technical and engineering roles within the army. Here’s a breakdown of their key responsibilities:
1. Engineering Roles
Maintenance and Repair: TES officers are involved in the maintenance and repair of various military equipment, vehicles, and weapons systems.
Project Management: They may manage projects related to construction, infrastructure development, and technology integration.
2. Technical Support
Technical Assistance: Provide technical support during operations, ensuring that equipment functions effectively.
Research and Development: Engage in research for developing new technologies or improving existing systems used by the army.
3. Leadership and Training
Leading Teams: TES officers lead technical teams and ensure effective coordination during missions and training exercises.
Training Personnel: They may also train other army personnel on technical systems and procedures.
4. Operational Planning
Strategic Planning: Participate in planning missions and operations where technical expertise is critical.
Field Operations: Work in the field to ensure that all technical equipment is ready for operational use.
5. Advisory Roles
Advising Command: Provide insights and recommendations to higher command on technical matters related to engineering and technology.
Commission and Training of TES 10+2
On successful completion of 4 years of the course, cadets will be granted Permanent Commission in the Army in the rank of Lt. 5.
Training.
Total training will be of 4 years. Details are as under:-
(a) Phase-I. Integrated Basic Military Training & Engineering Training at CME, Pune/MCTE, Mhow/MCEME, Secunderabad for three years.
(b) Phase-II. Integrated Basic Military Training & Engineering Training for one year at IMA, Dehradun or designated PCTA (Pre Commission Training Academy).
(c) Award of Degree. The candidates will be awarded Engineering degree after successful completion of 04 (four) years training. No ante date seniority will be admissible to candidates on account of this Engineering degree. During the entire training duration of four years a maximum of two relegations will be permitted on account of academic grounds in accordance with JNU Ordinance. Any further relegation on academic grounds will lead to withdrawal from training.
Service salary and Other Allowances of TES 10+2.
Cost of Training: ₹13,940/- (as on 2021) and as notified from time to time per week (for the period of candidate’s stay at Cadet Training Wings/Indian Military Academy 4 Dehradun.).
Fixed Stipend for Cadet Trainng : The gentlemen cadets will be given a stipend of ₹ 56,100/-p.m.* as is admissible to NDA cadets on completion of 3 years training. On completion 04 years of trg, they will be commissioned in the rank of Lt and entitled to pay as admissible to the rank.
Uniform Allowance : Subsumed into the newly proposed Dress Allowance i.e. ₹20,000/- per year.
Rations in Kind: In peace and field areas.

Key Points while filling the TES forms
Application will only be accepted online. To do so the candidate needs to click on the ‘online application’ button on website www.joinindianarmy.nic.in.
Documents
(i) Class 10th certificate and mark sheet in original showing DOB.
(ii) Class 12th certificate and mark sheet in original.
(iii) ID proof in original. (iv) Copy of result of JEE (Mains) 2024
Print out of the application with a Roll number will be available to the candidate 30 mins after the closing of online applications.
Candidates are required to print two copies of the application with Roll Number generated by the system.
One copy of the print out application duly self attested by the candidate will be carried to the selection centre for the SSB interview.

Importants Notice
Shortlisted candidates will be detailed to undergo SSB interview tentatively to be scheduled from Feb/Mar 2025 onwards.
