Selection Process :
Selection process will include two stages : Stage I and Stage II
Stage I :
Shortlisting of Candidates : It will be based on aggregate percentage obtained in Physics , Chemistry and Biology in (10+2) Examination .
50% marks in aggregate and minimum 40% in each subject . Cut off may vary for different states .
Shortlisted candidates would be issued call-up letter for stage II.
Selection Process : STAGE II
Physical Fitness Test(PFT),Written Test , Recruitment Medical Examination
Physical Fitness Test(PFT) - Qualifying in PFT is mandatory for selection.
Gender - Male
Run = 1.6 KM in 6 min 30 sec
Squats ( Uthak Baithak ) = 20 times(counts)
push- ups = 15 times(counts)
Bent knee sits-ups = 15 times(counts)
Written Test - 100 questions divided into four sections (English , Science , Biology and General Awareness/Reasoning Ability) of 25 marks each.
Duration of examination will be 1 hour.
language of questions will be in English & Hindi medium.
Requirement to pass in all sections as well as in aggregate.
Recruitment Medical Examination - Candidates qualifying in it will be considered for merit list. Those who are found medically unfit in PFT can appeal at designated military hospital
(allocated by the Indian Navy) within 5 days.

Photograph is to be taken with candidate holding a black slate in front of his/her chest with his/her name and date of photograph taken, clearly written on it with white chalk in capital letters .
JOB DESCRIPTION,SALARY AND FACILITIES :
Candidates will be enrolled as sailors in MEDICAL BRANCH For SSR (Med Asst) in Nov 2024 batch.
During training period , a stipend of ₹ 14,600/- per month will be admissible.
After completion of training , they will be placed in Level 3 of Defence Pay Matrix (₹ 21,000- ₹ 69,100) . In addition , they will be paid MSP @ ₹ 5200 per month plus DA (as applicable).
Promotion prospects exist up to the rank of Master Chief Petty Officer -1[ level 8 of the Defence Pay Matrix (₹ 47,000 - ₹ 1,51,100) plus MSP @ ₹5200 per month plus DA (as applicable).
Sailors are entitled to medical treatment , Leave Travel Concessions for self and dependents, Group Housing Benefits and other privileges. Sailors are also privileged to Annual and Casual Leave . Children Education and House Rent Allowances.
Post retirement benefits include pension, gratuity , and Leave encashment.
Insurance cover(on contribution) of ₹ 75 lakhs for sailors is applicable.
Other requirements
MARTIAL STATUS :
ONLY unmarried male candidates are invited to fill form .
Minimum height required is 157 CMS .
Tattoos are only permitted on inner face of forearms(from inside of elbow to the wrist and on the reversed side of palm/back (dorsal) side of hand.
Wax from ear and tartar(hardened plaque/yellow spot) from teeth must be removed.

Pre-Enrolment Medical : It will be conducted for all selected candidates ,liable to be rejected if not qualify this test.

Wrong information about domicile certificate and other details will result in cancellation of candidature at any stage of recruitment ,training and thereafter.
Selected candidates must download police verification form and other associated forms along with the call letter from official website for Final Recruitment Medical at INS Chilka. The police verification from either place of domicile or place of residence. The antecedents verified in Police verification form/Online police verification form from the Superintendents of police of their respective jurisdiction.
