Eastern Railway Apprentices Recruitment 2024-25

Online Applications are invited from eligible candidates who are Indian Nationals for training in Workshops and Divisions of Eastern Railway as Act Apprentices under the Apprentices Act, 1961 and Apprenticeship Rules, 1992 . Applications must be submitted online .Notification No. RRC/ER/Act Apprentices/2024-25 .

Selection of the eligible Applicants will be based on the merit list which would be prepared taking the average of the percentage of marks obtained by the Applicants in both Matriculation [with minimum 50% (aggregate) marks] and ITI examination giving equal weightage to both.

 

For example – A candidate secured 80.58% marks in Matriculation examination and 91.68% marks in ITI, then marks considered for selection will be ½ [80.58 + 91.68] = 86.13.

 

There will be no written test or viva.

 

 

Do not enter any wrong information about marks of 10th and ITI  in online forms.

 

Final selection of Applicants would be subject to verification of original testimonials and Medical Fitness Certificate .

 

Do not submit More than one application by single candidate .

Applicants can submit their applications ONLINE only on RRC’s website https://www.rrcer.org/. The candidature of the Applicants will be considered only on the basis of the
information filled in the ONLINE application. Document Verification will be held in the concerned Divisions & Workshops.

Applicants should be in possession of Aadhaar Card,their voter ID number, valid passport number, driving license number or any other valid Government identity card at the time of online application. Applicants have to produce original Aadhaar card or document mentioned above, at the time of Document Verification.

 

Choice of only one Division /Workshop is permitted. Option once exercised is FINAL and binding to the candidates.

 

A candidate will get selected for training in ONLY one unit of Eastern Railway as per procedures mentioned above, based on the comparative community wise merit position of candidate and as per available training slots in his/her trade. 

 

During submission of online application, a registration number will be issued to each applicant; candidates are advised to reserve/note their Registration Number.

Size :- 20kb–50 kb.

 

Caps, hats and dark glasses are not acceptable. Religious headwear is allowed but it must notcover your face.

 

Photo Image taken Should not be later than three months from the date of application.

 

If you wear glasses make sure that there are no reflections, and your eyes can be clearly seen.

 

Signature Image: (Size :- 10kb – 40kb. )

 

The applicant has to sign on white paper with Black Ink pen.

 

Photo and signature in  JPG/JPEG format With 100 DPI RESOLUTION.

Certificates in languages other than English or Hindi should be accompanied by an attested copy of translation in English / Hindi.

 

The candidates should also keep 10 copies of the same photograph for future purposes.

 

 Production of Originals of uploaded documents along with 2 self attested photocopies onthe day of Document Verification in the Concerned Division is mandatory.

Selected Applicants has to enter into a Contract of Apprenticeship Training with the laid down provisions .When  the Contract of Apprenticeship is terminated through failure on the part of the employer in carrying out the terms and conditions of the contract , Applicants will be paid Apprentice compensation as prescribed i.e. such employer shall be liable to pay the Apprentice compensation an amount equivalent to his three months last drawn stipend.

 

It is not obligatory on the part of employer to offer any employment to the passed out Trade Apprentice.

 

Apprentices are entitled to free medical treatment for personal injury caused by accident arising out and in the course of training.

 

After selection for engagement, request of Applicants to change the Trade/ Division / Workshop will not be entertained.

 

The Applicants who want to avail the benefit of reservation of SC/ST/OBC- NCL , must upload his/her Caste certificate on Central Government format only issued by appropriate authority according to Annexure –‘B’ at the time of online application.

 

OBC-NCL candidates  are also required to invariably fill and upload the Self-declaration form regarding current status of Non-Creamy-Layer as per Annexure-‘D’. Issue date of OBC certificate should on or after 01/04/2024 by the Competent Authority.

 

However, 20% of the vacancies notified to be filled up in Level – 1 recruitment notification ( Gr. ‘D’ category posts (Grade Pay – Rs.1800/-) shall be filled up by giving preference to the Course Completed Act Apprentices trained in Railway establishments and possessing National Apprenticeship Certificates granted by NCVT, subject to such candidates found suitable in other aspects and they have scored the minimum qualifying marks in the written examination.

 

The Applicants who want to avail the benefit of reservation of Ex-servicemen and Armed Forces Personnel and in case of children of Ex-servicemen and children of Armed Forces Personnel, they must upload Discharge certificate or Armed Forces Serving Certificate respectively (as the case may be) of his/her parents at the time of online application.

 

Number of seats available in all Division of Eastern Railway for the Apprentices .
