Applications are invited from Indian Citizens (Male & Female) for appointment to Group 'A' post of Super Specialist Medical Officers (Second-in-Command), Specialist Medical Officers (Deputy Commandant) and Medical Officers (Assistant Commandant) in Central Armed Police Forces (BSF, CRPF, ITBP, SSB) & Assam Rifles, Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India. On joining, a candidate shall be governed by the Act and Rules, as amended from time to time, applicable to the organization to which he is allotted after selection.
Selected candidates will be liable to serve anywhere in India or abroad as per requirements of service. On appointment, the candidates shall be entitled for the pension benefits as per the 'New Restructured Defined Contributory Pension Scheme' applicable for the new entrants to the Central Government Services w.e.f. 01.01.2004.
METHOD OF SELECTION of capf
Candidates, whose online applications are found in order, will be issued e-admit card mentioning date, time and venue for 'Documentation & Interview' by a designated Board of Officers at the designated centers followed by Physical Standard Tests (PST) and Medical Examination Tests (MET), to assess their suitability for appointment in CAPFs & AR. Selection process will be conducted as per the following sequence:
INTERVIEW
The designated board will conduct interview of the candidates found eligible after documentation.
Max mark : 200
conducted to test the General knowledge and ability of the candidates in the field of their academic study and also to assess the nature of personality, intellectual curiosity, and balance of judgment and alertness of mind, ability for social cohesion, integrity of character, initiative and capability for leadership of the candidates.
Min qualify mark : 80
Documents
(i) 10th Certificates.
(ii) Certificate of each mentioned qualification based on post.
(iii) Internship certificate.
(iv) Category certificates.
PHYSICAL STANDARD TEST (PST)
Student who qualify in interview need to go through PST test on same or next day of interview.
MEDICAL EXAMINATION TEST (MET)
Candidates qualified in Physical Standards Test (PST) will be required to undergo Medical Examination Test (MET) by a duly constituted Board of Medical Officers of CAPFs & AR on same day or the following day of PST.

Tattoo clause:
(i) Content: Being a secular country, the religious sentiments of our countrymen are to be respected and thus, tattoo depicting religious symbol or figures and the name, as followed in Indian Army are to be permitted.
ii) Location: Tattoos marked on traditional sites of the body like inner aspect of forearm but only left forearm, being non saluting limb or dorsum of the hands are to be
allowed.
(iii) Size: Size must be less than ¼ of the particular part (Elbow or Hand) of the body.

Super Specialist Medical Officers (Second-in-Command)
Level-12
Rs. 78,800-2,09,200 per month
Specialist Medical Officers (Deputy Commandant)
Level-11
Rs. 67,700-2,08,700 per month
For Medical Officers (Assistant Commandant)
Level-10
Rs. 56,100-1,77,500 per month
PROBATION PERIOD
(i) Every candidate appointed to the cadre in the grade of Super Specialist Medical Officer, Specialist Medical Officer and Medical Officer shall be on probation for a period of two years.
(ii) The Central Government, if it thinks fit for reasons to be recorded in writing, can extend the period of probation specified in Sub Para-d (i) by one year.

Mere presence and qualifying in the medical examination will not guarantee the right to the candidate for appointment.
