Union Bank of India , a leading listed Public Sector Bank with Central Office at Mumbai and having presence in Pan India, as well as, overseas presence, invites On-line Applications for recruitment of the Local Bank Officer (LBO) (Grade- JMGS -I) . Total number of seats including all category are 1560.

Selection Procedure of Union Bank of India LBO Post
Stages of Selection Process :-
1.Online Examination
2.Language Proficiency Test (LPT)
3.Personal Interview (PI)
The weightage (ratio) of Online Exam and Interview will be in the ratio of 80:20 respectively. The combined final score of candidates shall be arrived at on the basis of scores obtained by the candidates in the Online Examination and Interview.
The selection process may comprise of Online Examination / Group Discussion (if conducted)/Screening of applications and / or Personal Interview depending on the numbers of applicants/eligible candidates.
1.Online Examination / Test:
Structure of the Examination:
Descriptive Paper of English Language (Letter writing & Essay) may be evaluated by an automated scoring mechanism for identifying features related to writing proficiency.
This scoring mechanism is duly validated and evaluates proficiency of test takers in writing in English Language in an objective manner as the mechanism does not have any in-built biases for evaluating responses.
Necessities to appear for Online Examination :
(1) Valid Call Letter / Admit card of Examination.
(2) Photo-identity proof in original .
Negative Marking : one fourth or 0.25 of the marks assigned to that question .
CUT-OFF SCORE (Online Examination)
Each candidate will be required to obtain a minimum score in each test of Online examination and also a minimum total score to be considered to be shortlisted for interview.
2.Language Proficiency Test (LPT):
The candidate must have Proficiency /Expert in the Local Language of the State applied for. Candidates shortlisted in the Online Examination will be required to qualify Language Proficiency test, failing which they will not be allowed to appear for Personal Interview and thus their candidature will not be considered for further selection process.
However, candidates who produce 10th or 12th standard marksheet/certificate evidencing having studied the specified local language of the applied State as one of the subjects will not be required to undergo the language proficiency test.
3. Personal Interview (PI) :
Candidates securing the minimum qualifying marks stipulated for Online Examination and ranking sufficiently high in the order of merit shall be called for personal Interview.
The total marks allotted for Interview are 100.
The minimum qualifying marks in interview will not be less than 40% (35% for SC/ST/OBC/PWBD candidates).
The applicants not securing the minimum qualifying marks in the Personal Interview will be disqualified for selection.

How To Apply
Application Registration : -
1.Candidates are first required to go to the Bank’s website www.unionbankofindia.co.in and click on the ‘Recruitments’ Page to open the Career Overview Page, ‘Click to View the Current Recruitment’ to open the link “Recruitment of Local Bank Officer (2025-26)” and then click on the option “CLICK HERE TO APPLY ONLINE” to open the On-Line Application Form.
2.To register application, choose the tab "Click here for New Registration" and enter Name, Contact details and Email-id.
3.A Provisional Reg number and Password will be displayed on the screen, candidate should note it down.
4.Validate your details and Save your application by clicking the 'Validate your details' and 'Save & Next' button.
5.Candidates can proceed to upload Photo & Signature
6.Click on 'COMPLETE REGISTRATION' ONLY after verifying and ensuring that the photograph, signature uploaded and other details filled by you are correct.
7.Click on 'Payment' Tab and proceed for payment.
8.Click on 'Submit' button.
9.Non-generation of 'E-Receipt' indicates PAYMENT FAILURE.
NOTE : Candidates are required to take a printout of the e-Receipt and online Application Form containing fee details.

Signature Image:
Dimensions :-140 x 60 pixels

The applicant has to sign on white paper with Black Ink pen.
left thumb impression Image :
File Size: 20 KB – 50 KB.
Dimensions: 240 x 240 pixels in 200 DPI & 3 cm * 3 cm (Width * Height) .

The applicant has to put his left thumb impression on a white paper with black or blue ink.
Hand-written declaration Image:
File Size: 50 KB – 100 KB
Dimensions: 800 x 400 pixels in 200 DPI & 10 cm * 5 cm (Width * Height)

Note: The hand written declaration has to be in the candidate’s hand writing and in English only on a white paper with black or blue ink.. The text should NOT BE IN CAPITAL LETTERS.
If it is written by anybody else and uploaded or in any other language, the application will be considered as invalid.
The text for the hand-written declaration is as follows:
“I, _______ (Name of the candidate), hereby declare that all the information submitted by me in the application form is correct, true and valid. I will present the supporting documents as and when required.”
Salaries and Other detail about job
PAY SCALE - Rs. 48480-2000/7-62480-2340/2-67160-2680/7-85920 .
NOTE : Above Pay Scale is explained as Intial Basic Pay is Rs. 48480 which increases to Rs.62480 in 7 years after a continuous 7 increament of Rs.2000 per year and then Basic Pay will be Rs. 67160 after 2 continuous increament of Rs.2340 per year for 2 years and the cycle goes on like this .
Selected Candidates are provided with various types of Allowances with Basic Pay.
PROBATION PERIOD: The selected candidates will be on Probation for a period of 2 years of active service from the date of his / her joining the Bank.
SERVICE INDEMNITY BOND: The selected candidates will be required to execute a Service Indemnity Bond undertaking to serve the Bank for a minimum period of 3 years or to pay the Bank a sum of Rs.2,00,000.00 (Rs. Two Lakh Only) plus applicable taxes as per Government rules in case he / she leaves the Bank before completion of 3 years of active service.
Essential conditions of eligibility
Application can be made only for any one of the States as per identified vacancies in this Notification.
The applicants should retain sufficient copies of photographs uploaded by them in online application form.
Candidates who have defaulted in repayment under any lending arrangement with Banks / NBFCs/ Financial Institutions including credit card dues and have not regularized / repaid their outstanding there under till the date of issuance of letter of offer of appointment by the Bank, shall not be eligible for appointment to the post.
However, candidates who have regularized / repaid such outstanding on or before the date of issuance of offer of appointment, but whose CIBIL status has not been updated on or before the date of joining, shall have to either get the CIBIL status updated or produce the NOCs from lender to the effect that there is no outstanding with respect to the accounts adversely reflected in the CIBIL, failing which the letter of offer shall be withdrawn / cancelled.
Thus, the candidates with record of default in repayment of loans/ credit card dues and/ or against whose name adverse report of CIBIL or other external agencies are available will not be eligible for appointment.
