Application Process Summary

Start Date: 07 October 2025   Last Date: 07 November 2025 (11:50 PM)

1. Visit the official website ugcnet.nta.ac.in.
2. Click on "New Registration" and fill in all details.
3. Upload photograph and signature as per specifications.
4. Pay application fee online via Debit/Credit Card or Net Banking.
5. Submit the form and download confirmation page for records.

Selection Process & Exam Pattern

The selection includes two Computer Based Tests (CBT):

• Paper 1: General Paper on Teaching & Research Aptitude (50 MCQs, 100 marks).
• Paper 2: Subject-specific paper (100 MCQs, 200 marks).

Total duration is 3 hours with no negative marking.

Additional Instructions

• Age relaxation applicable as per Government rules for reserved categories and PWD.
• Final year Master's students are eligible if their degree is completed before exam date.
• Ensure accuracy in details during form filling; corrections allowed only in specified window.
• Keep admit card and valid photo ID ready for examination day.

JRF Fellowship & Benefits

Qualified candidates for JRF receive a fellowship of Rs. 37,000 per month for up to 2 years, extendable as per UGC norms.

Vacancy & Eligibility Highlights

The exam covers 85 subjects spanning arts, commerce, science, and management. Eligibility requires a Master’s degree with minimum 55% marks (50% for reserved categories).
