IIITA invites application for the posts of Associate Professor on regular positions, from individuals having Doctoral degree from Institutions/Universities in India and from abroad, with conforming academic credentials, demonstrable high quality research, and committed leadership in innovative teaching-learning
Eligibility based on Qualifications and Experience
Candidates having PhD degree directly after B Tech, may also be considered for the participation in the selection process, if they fulfill other criteria.
The candidates must have relevant teaching experience in a regular grade (as applicable) from the institutes of higher learning.

Selection Procedure
After Screening/short-listing of applications and profiles of the candidates, by the duly constituted Screening Committee for the purpose, based on the Institute decided criteria, the shortlisted candidates shall be invited for an ‘in-person’ presentation followed by interview, before the Statutory Selection Committee. Based on the recommendations of this Statutory Selection Committee and approval of the Board of Governors of the Institute, appointment letters shall be issued.
Apart from merit, the specialization of a candidate aligned for a particular department will play a vital role in selection. The candidate with a specialization in greater need by the department may be given preference.
The Institute reserves the right to relax any of the qualifications/experience criteria in case of exceptionally outstanding candidates.
Important Notice
IIIT-Allahabad adheres to the ‘No In-breeding’ policy. Therefore, a candidate who has obtained or is expected to obtain his/her most recent degree (Ph.D.) from IIIT-Allahabad will normally not be considered for recruitment, except where there is a 3 years gap between leaving the Institute and the last date of application.
The date and time of Presentation/ Interview will be informed only through the Institute website / e-mail. The Institute will not be responsible for non-receipt of emails by the candidates.
Accommodation may be provided in institute’s visitors' hostel (if available) at institute subsidized rate.
The candidates are required to take a print out of completely filled application and send to the below mentioned address along with all supporting documents (academic, experience, category etc.) in a closed envelope on or before the last date of the submission of application. Post applied for, advertisement no. and candidate name should be clearly written at the envelope.

Benefits of joining IIIT-A
1. Contribution towards New Pension Scheme (NPS), HRA, LTC, medical re-imbursement, transportation allowance, education allowance for children etc. admissible as per the Institute Rules.
2. A Cumulative Professional Development Allowance of Rs. 3 Lakhs for every block period of 3 years is available to every member of the faculty to meet the expenses for participating in both national and international conferences, paying the membership fees of various professional bodies, books and periodicals and contingent expenses, as well as for other professional development activities.
3. Reimbursement of telephone bills up to a ceiling of Rs.750/-per month, reimbursement of newspapers/magazine bills as per Institute norms.
4. Besides pay, the post carries allowances according to the Institute rules which at present correspond to those admissible to the Central Government employees stationed at Prayagraj.
