Indian National Centre for Ocean Information Services (INCOIS) has released a notification for recruitment to the Posts of Research Associate and Junior Research Fellow (JRfs) for 1 to 4 Years.Total Seats under this Vacany is 39.

1.Research Associate: With Doctoral degree: Ph.D in Seismology / Physics / Geophysics / Earth Sciences, Oceanic Sciences/ Marine Sciences/ Marine Biology/ Atmospheric Sciences / Climate Sciences / Meteorology / Oceanography / Physical Oceanography / Chemical Oceanography/ Physics / Mathematics.

With Master’s degree: Master’s degree in Seismology/Physics/Geophysics/Earth Sciences, Oceanography, Atmospheric Science, Ocean Technology or Ocean Engineering and having three years of research, teaching, or design and development experience with at least two research papers in Science Citation Index (SCI) journal.

Age Limit : Up to 35 Years

Salary : : Rs. 67,000 + HRA .

2. Research Associate (RA) : With Doctoral degree: Ph.D in Social Work/ Sociology/ Gender Studies/Public Health/ Disaster Management, or a related field with desirable experience (see section ‘Responsibilities’ below).

Age Limit : Up to 35 Years

Salary : Rs. 67,000 + HRA .

3.Junior Research Fellow : Master’s degree in any branch of Science or Engineering and cleared national level Ph. D. eligibility test conducted by CSIR-UGC NET/ UGC NET /ICAR NET (Lectureship / Assistant Professorship/Ph.D Eligibility only) / GATE / JEST.

Candidates should have studied Physics OR Mathematics OR Chemistry as one of the Elective/Subsidiary subjects at bachelor's degree level.

Candidates who have been awarded INSPIRE fellowship provisionally may also apply.

Vacancy: 30

Age Limit : Up to 28 Years

Salary : Rs. 37,000 + HRA.

Selection Procedure consists of following stages: 

1.shortlisting of Candidates on the basis of Qualification

2.Written/Computer - Based Test 

3.Personal Interview 

4.Medical Examination

5.Appointment 

shortlisting of Candidates  : on the Basis of Qualification , Percentage of Marks .

Written/Computer - Based Test : Written test may be conducted to shortlist the candidates for the interview ,which will be only qualifying in nature .

Interview : Final selection will be done only based on the marks obtained in the Interview.
