BANK OF MAHARASHTRA, leading listed Public Sector Bank with Head Office in Pune and having more than 2500 network of branches invites online application from candidates for engagement of Apprentices.

Date for submission of ONLINE application starts between 14.10.2024 and 24.10.2024 for 600 seats of Apprentices in different state . Candidates can apply for vacancy in any one state with expert in local language . Online form can be applied from official website of bank of maharastra .

Selection Procedure and Examination Pattern for BOM Apprentices

Merit list for engagement of apprentices will be prepared State-wise in descending order on the basis of marks / percentage obtained in 12th (HSC/10+2) / Diploma examination.

 

The candidates who have completed Engineering Degree after completion of Diploma from the recognized University / Board of Govt. of India, their Diploma Marks / Percentage in the aggregate of all semesters / years would be considered for preparing merit list.


Computerized Merit list will be prepared only on the basis of the information filled by the Candidate in the ONLINE application.


Engagement of selected apprentices is subject to his/her being declared medically fit, verification of antecedents and other formalities as decided by the Bank.


A Waiting list (State-wise) for one year will be maintained and called the candidates for apprenticeship training on account of unfilled positions / non joining of candidates for training.



The finally selected candidates shall have to submit their applications along with the requisite documents through web portal https://nats.education.gov.in, initially they have to register themselves in the said web portal.


Before commencement of the apprenticeship training, the selected candidates  have to enter into a Contract of Apprenticeship Training with the laid down provisions under the Apprentices Act, 1961.

 

Failure on the part of the employer in carrying out the terms and conditions of the contract (as notified under the Apprenticeship Rules 1992), Candidates will be paid Apprentice compensation as prescribed i.e. such employer shall be liable to pay the Apprentice compensation an amount equivalent to his three months last drawn stipend;


In the event of premature termination of Contract of Apprenticeship due to the failure on the part of Apprentice to carry out or comply with the terms and conditions of the contract , a training cost of an amount equivalent to his / her three months last drawn stipend shall be made recoverable from such Apprentice .

 

Every Apprentice on completion of the training will be granted a certificate of proficiency by the National Council, on passing a test conducted by the National Council to determine his proficiency.

How to apply

Note : Candidates need to Register themselves first on NATS portal  https://nats.education.gov.in/  before applying for Apprentices vacancy on Bank's official website .

 

1.Candidates are advised to go to the Bank’s website https://bankofmaharashtra.in and click on the ‘Careers’ → Current Openings → to open the link “Online application for Engagement of Apprentices, under the Apprentices Act, 1961 - Project 2024-25” and then click on the option "APPLY ONLINE" which will open a new screen.

 

2.To register application, choose the tab "Click here for New Registration" and enter Name, Contact details and Email-id.

 

3.A Provisional Reg number and Password will be displayed on the screen, candidate should note it down.

 

4.Validate your details and Save your application by clicking the 'Validate your details' and 'Save & Next' button.

 

5.Candidates can proceed to upload Photo & Signature and other documents .

 

6.Click on 'COMPLETE REGISTRATION' ONLY after verifying and ensuring that the photograph, signature uploaded and other details filled by you are correct.

 

7.On successful completion of application, a preview of an application form will be generated, which may be printed / saved for record.

 

NOTE : Candidates are required to take a printout of the e-Receipt and online Application Form containing fee details.

Documents to be Uploaded

Photograph Image: (4.5cm × 3.5cm)

Dimensions :- 200 x 230 pixels

Size :- 20kb–50 kb.

Photo must recent passport style colour picture with white background.

 

Caps, hats and dark glasses are not acceptable. Religious headwear is allowed but it must notcover your face.

 

If you wear glasses make sure that there are no reflections, and your eyes can be clearly seen.

 

Signature Image:

Dimensions :-140 x 60 pixels

Size :- 10kb – 20kb.

File type: jpg / jpeg .

 

The applicant has to sign on white paper with Black Ink pen.

 

left thumb impression Image :

File Size: 20 KB – 50 KB.

Dimensions: 240 x 240 pixels in 200 DPI & 3 cm * 3 cm (Width * Height) .

File type: jpg / jpeg .

 

The applicant has to put his left thumb impression on a white paper with black or blue ink.

 

Hand-written declaration Image:

File Size: 50 KB – 100 KB

Dimensions: 800 x 400 pixels in 200 DPI & 10 cm * 5 cm (Width * Height)

File type: jpg / jpeg .


Note: The hand written declaration has to be in the candidate’s hand writing and in English only on a white paper with black or blue ink.. The text should NOT BE IN CAPITAL LETTERS.

 

If it is written by anybody else and uploaded or in any other language, the application will be considered as invalid.

 

There are separate links to upload the mark-sheets / degree certificate of 12th (10+2) / Diploma and Graduation. The documents must be uploaded in pdf format with maximum file size of 500kb.

 

The text for the hand written declaration is as follows:


“I, _______ (Name of the candidate), hereby declare that all the information submitted by me in the application form is correct, true and valid. I will present the supporting documents as and when required.”

 

Stipend/Salary and other conditions

Stipend :  Rs. 9000/- per month for the engagement period of one year.

 

Duration of Training : One year

Conditions of apprentices appointment

Candidates who had training or job experience of one or more years after completion of educational qualifications shall not be eligible for being engaged as apprentice.


It shall neither be obligatory on the part of the Bank to offer any employment to any apprentice who has completed the period of his apprenticeship training, nor shall it be obligatory on the part of the apprentice to accept an employment.


Candidates seeking age relaxation will be required to submit necessary certificate(s) in original along with photo- copies as and when required and at any subsequent stage of the engagement.


The cut- off date for Eligibility Criteria and other details is 30.06.2024.


Candidate should indicate the percentage obtained in HSC (10+2) / Diploma Examination calculated to the two decimals in the online application. Where CGPA/ OGPA is awarded, the same should be converted into percentage and indicated in the online application.

 

If called for interaction / document verification, the candidate will have to produce a certificate issued by the appropriate authority inter-alia stating the norms of the University / Board regarding conversion of grade into percentage and the percentage of marks scored by the candidate in terms of these norms.

Documents to be Produced at the time of joining or Interview

List of documents to be produced at the time of engagement:

 

The following document/s in original together with a self-attested photocopy in support of the candidate’s eligibility and identity are to be invariably submitted at the time of engagement failing which the candidate may not be permitted to impart any training.

 

1. Valid system generated printout of the online application form.


2. Proof of Date of Birth (Birth Certificate issued by the Competent Municipal Authority or SSLC/ Std. X Certificate with DOB).


3. For the purpose of identification, please bring Passport /Aadhar Card/ PAN card / Voter ID / Driving License / any other Photo ID card issued by Statutory Authorities where photograph is affixed.


4. Mark sheets / Certificates from SSC examination onwards to the highest examination passed. Individual Semester / Year wise Mark sheets & certificates for educational qualifications including the final degree. Proper document from Board/ University for having declared the result on or before cut-off date must be submitted.


5. Income and Asset Certificate issued by Competent Authority, strictly in the prescribed format as stipulated by Government of India, in case of EWSs (Economically Weaker Sections) category candidates.


6. Caste Certificate issued by competent authority, strictly in the prescribed format as stipulated by Government of India, in case of SC / ST / OBC category candidates. In case of candidates belonging to OBC category, certificate should specifically contain a clause that the candidate does not belong to creamy layer section excluded from the benefits of reservation for Other Backward Classes in Civil post & services under Government of India. 

Disability certificate in prescribed format issued by the District Medical Board in case of Persons with Benchmark Disability category.


7. An Ex-serviceman candidate has to produce a copy of the Service or Discharge Book along with pension payment order and documentary proof of rank last / presently held (substantive as well as acting) at the time of interview.

 

8. Persons eligible for age relaxation as per clause 3(5) of the advertisement must produce a certificate from the District Magistrate to the effect that they are eligible for relief in terms of the Rehabilitation Package for 1984 Riot Affected Persons sanctioned by the Government and communicated vide Ministry of Finance, Dept. of Financial Services CommunicationNo.F.No.9/21/2006-IR dated 27.07.2007.


9. Any other relevant documents in support of eligibility. If he/ she fails to produce the relevant eligibility documents as mentioned above. Non-production of relevant eligibility documents at the time of engagement or at any stage shall make the candidate ineligible for further process of engagement.
