OPSC Odisha Civil Services Examination 2024

Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC)  has released a notification for recruitment to the Posts and Services coming under the Odisha Civil Services (Group A and Group B) . Total allotted seats are 265 ( 200 for General Vacancy and 65 reserved for Female Vacancy ) .

Selection Process consists of following steps :-

(i) Preliminary Examination 

(ii) Main Examination (Written and Interview) 

(iii) Document Verification 

(iv) Medical Examination 

(V) Merit list and Appointment

 

(i) Preliminary Examination : For Selection of candidates for main Examination.

No. Of Papers : 2 Compulsory Papers 

Total Score : 200 marks for each Paper

Total Duration : 2 Hours for each Paper 

Question Type : Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) for both Papers .

 

The General Studies paper - II of the Civil Services ( Preliminary Examination ) will be qualifying paper with minimum qualifying paper with minimum qualifying marks fixed at 33%.

 

Negative Marking : 1/3 of the marks assigned to that question shall be deducted as penalty.

 

(ii) Main Examination(Written and Interview) :

 Total Duration : 3 Hours for each Paper.

 Marks obtained by the candidates for the Paper I-VII in part-II only shall be counted for merit ranking.
